International Basketball Summer Camp

From 13 to 19 years old

Dear Campers,

Summer is the "perfect time" to improve your basketball skills & game. ABA Camp allows you to prepare correctly for your next season. ABA was created thanks to a team of international elite coaches who have come together and combined their strengths to bring you the best basketball teaching experience in the world.

ABA passes on the knowledge of the game to help you learn the right way, and reach your goals as a player and person. our team is composed of Elite High School/AAU Coaches and a staff with NCAA Division-1, NBA, LNB France, and FIBA playing experience.

The ABA camp focuses on developing your individual basketball skills and teaching the fundamentals of the game. We use adapted physical training combined with basketball for the most significant results. This training, associated with high level games/competitions, will help you reach your fullest potential as a player and athlete.

The ABA Camp was created by Cherokee Parks and Johan Rat. Cherokee and Johan basketball experience includes: US and French High School, NCAA Division-1, NBA (C. Parks), LNB (J. Rat). Both Johan and Cherokee possess FIBA experience. Thanks to an exclusive partnership with the “SoCal (Southern California) All-Stars” the number 1 AAU program in California, and the USA, the ABA Camp provides a unique experience for all who seek to accept the challenge.

“SoCal All-Stars” was founded by basketball legend, coach Pat Barrett. That’s more than 30 years of history he has accumulated. Coach Barett has seen some of the best amateur players to ever play the sport in America, and counts 65 players who made it to the NBA.

The American Sports Centers (ASC), Anaheim California, is the largest indoor court facility in the world, features 34 volley ball courts which convert into 25 basketball courts. ASC is home to USA Volleyball's Men's and Women's National Teams, the “Open Gym Premier Basketball Academy and Tournaments”; Double Pump, NCAA Basketball Viewing Events, SGV Basketball Tournaments, and a growing number of divers basketball events. ASC is as well used by NBA players, the likes of: Kobe Bryant, Kevin Love, Brandon Jennings, Stanley Johnson, for training and off-season preparation.

Schedule

The ABA Camp is a Basket-ball Camp with a schedule especially customized for you and detailed underneath. The camp's premium's objective is to develop young basketball players as individuals, and as members of a team / group and basket-ball unit, on and off the court.

During the camps children will be placed in teams based upon age and skill level. We will work on developing the player’s overall basket-ball skills, mental, and athletic ability.

European and foreign participants will play against various US " Basketball Academies " during the full duration of the Camp. This full experience deep within the shared American culture, will allow you to truly appreciate the American and European game culture thanks to the love of sport.

The instructions during the Camp will be given in English to help you develop the understanding of the language and US culture.

ABA Camp
4 days
In preparation for the AAU tournament " Best of Summer " with a Staff of Elite American & European Coaches.
- Intense " Basket-ball Stations " / " Morning Workout Sessions " : Learning the individual skills & fundamentals of the game of basketball.
           Work on Offense / Defense basketball for guards and
           post players.
           Menu: Learning the fundamentals & art of shooting,
           passing, dribbling moves, creating space, D-Fense,
           Boxing out, cutting …
- Learning the fundamentals of the game of 1/1, 2/2,
            3/3, 5/5 :
            Get open, back doors, dribble and kick series, Pick &
            Rolls/Pops, & Hand-off situations keys to becoming a
            better player. Basket-ball knowledge only taught by the
            best in High School, NCAA, LNB, NBA Exclusivly for
            you, at the ABA camp.

Conditioning: " Beach workouts ", agility and speed. Basketball and agility drills Resistance training " Mixed ", together, so you have fun, and learn to perform under pressure and in real-life and basketball situations. Adapted to age and athletic ability of the children
AAU Tournament
"Double pump - Best of summer"

This amazing and infamous tournament will have some of the best young teams in the USA participating.
Players such as LeBron James, Kevin Love, Kobe Bryant, Stephen Curry, James Harden and Chris Paul have all played on the AAU circuit as youngsters.

At the American Sports Center in Anaheim:
The biggest sports facility in the world, Home of Team USA volleyball.
80 teams, 35 courts, 5 to 7 games in 5 Days. Group ages 13 / 18 years old.
- High School, Prep School, JUCO, NCAA & NAIA Exposure, and recruiters at one of the very best
" AAU Tournament " in the nation & on the West
Coast.
- Be seen and discovered by the many high school, and collegiate scouts present at the tournaments & Possibly for European players to Earn an athletic basketball scholarship in the USA.
ABA Camp - SoCal Allstars

*Same program as the above ABA Camp.

       The Campers will " get their feet wet " deep within the American sports culture with an Elite US Coaching staff Exclusively with numerous Americans and international players. This Camp will use the US approach for teaching the game of Basket-ball at the American Sports Center in Anaheim.

       The ABA Campers will be under the guidance of the
" SCA " So Cal All-Stars founded by " Master " Coach Pat Barett. Coach Cherokee Parks, Johan Rat, Coach Nigel Petrie, Scott Mc Lane, and many other infamous Basket-ball teachers part of the SCA So Cal All-Stars will be teaching at the ABA Camp.
       A marriage of the sports cultures will be made between the US and Europeans. This will be a great way for the European and US players to truly understand both cultures and approach of the game of basketball.
Program
       4 Hrs of intense daily basketball training learning the fundamentals of the game. Multiple games & scrimmages will be scheduled vs US & International teams (SCA & Europeans, AAU Games).
      The SoCal All stars (SCA) are considered by many basketball experts, worldwide, as the best AAU program in America, established since 1979. The objective of the scrimmages is to translate the work tought during the practice sessions within game situations. Groups will be made dependent upon age and level of play.
Instructions will be given in English and translated by Coach Rat & the European Coaches present at the Camp for you. This will help develop your comprehension of the English language with the help of sport.

       Coaches Johan Rat and Cherokee Parks will be available for the campers during the camp, to help them make the best out of this great traveling and Basket-ball opportunity. They will answer questions regarding the Education and Elite sports system in Europe and the USA, and share their passion and love for the game. One-on-one coaching from professionals possessing decades of experience in the NCAA, LNB, and NBA. Combined, that’s over 25 years performing at the highest levels of basketball in France and the USA.

A beautiful campus, in the heart of Orange County, only a few minutes away from the American Sports Center. lodging, bedding, meals, classroom, and swimming pool will be available for the ABA Team.
